Felts

At Textile Products, we manufacture our felts from wool, polyester, cotton, old clothing as well as recycled materials. We employ a process called mechanical bonding to bind the textile fibres together. This type of bonding, using techniques like needle punching, ensures the fibres are physically entangled. At the same time, since this is a mechanical process, the fibres are not exposed to harsh chemicals. Overall, this results in a felt that can be used in an array of places.

Felt is an ancient fabric that has been in use for millennia across the world. This material has a wide range of applications from retail products like mattresses, to construction.

Besides felts, we also manufacture other textile products such as geotextiles, removal blankets, underlays and more. As a company, we have a big commitment to recycling and reuse. Our goal is to recycle textiles as much as possible in order to have zero landfill waste. We handle the reprocessing of wool, cotton, jute, rayon, and many other materials, both those that are produced by us and those that are not. This focus on sustainability helps us do our bit for the environment and keep New Zealand pristine.

Textile Products has been in operation for over 60 years and we are proud to supply our products for use in a variety of industries here in the country. We are based in Onehunga, Auckland, and would love to discuss your fabric requirements.
